My first wedding at Hazel Gap Barn and WOW! When Helen + John contacted me to say they were getting married there I was so excited! At the time it was just being converted by Cripps & Co into the beautiful venue that it is today, so it was even more exciting that not only was it going to be a new one for me to photograph, it was actually a new venue completely!
The day was seriously chilled, Helen + her bridesmaids went out to the salon for their hair and makeup and once they were home and ready to get into their dresses I popped over to capture them before leaving for Hazel Gap in Stanley, the camper van by The Kombi Couple!
When I arrived at Hazel Gap everyone was super relaxed, the ceremony was lovely and lit by beautiful candles at the top of the huge barn! It was an oddly warm day for October so after the ceremony all the guests made their out to the amazing court yard for canapés until it was time to head inside for the feast, the thing I loved about their meal was a huge plate of meat came out for each table for everyone to just tuck into! Helen + John kindly made sure I was fed and watered and I can honestly say it was some of the best food I've had at a wedding!
As the night closed in the fire pits in the courtyard were lit and the guests enjoyed toasted marshmallows and sparklers! It was a spectacular day and after capturing Helen + John's special day at Hazel Gap Barn I will say it is my new favourite venue and I can't wait to be back!!
